Vicious Shivers (Cullen Bunn's Official Newsletter), Issue 109
This is the 109th issue of Vicious Shivers, a (mostly) weekly newsletter for fans of my work. Thank you for subscribing. Please share it with others if you think they might be interested!
Some weeks I write stories about alien civilizations and ancient gods and heroes born unto great destiny.
And some weeks I write nursery rhymes.
Guess what kind of week this was.
That’s right, dear friends, I spent a significant portion of the week figuring out a nursery rhyme for one of my upcoming books. Dozens of drafts! Lots of pacing! Lots of paper crumpled on my office floor! The poem only appears for a few pages of the issue, but I really wanted it to sound great.
In the last years, I’ve worked on a few projects that spill into unusual territory. Well, unusual for me. Nursery rhymes, song lyrics, role-playing game supplements, board game flavor text, convention panel lists, and tarot card descriptions. All of these things will be released at some point in the future.
This week, though, it’s back to good ol’ scripting. I’ve got quite a few pages to write if I don’t want another scriptpocalypse on my hands.

It was announced earlier in the week that another TALES FROM HARROW COUNTY series is on the way! The last couple of TALES series have focused on Bernice, but this time we’re checking in with Emmy to see how she’s holding up.
TALES FROM HARROW COUNTY returns to continue Emmy's story — www.comicsbeat.com The new TALES FROM HARROW COUNTY miniseries from Cullen Bunn, Emily Schnall, & Tyler Crook picks up Emmy's story ten years later.

Despite all the nursery rhyme creation, I did manage to get the green light on a new horror series. I can’t say much more about the project just yet. I’m very excited about it, though. It will be like nothing I’ve ever worked on before. And it will allow me to tell you so many horror stories.
I also sent several more projects into the ether in hopes that they would find homes. Fingers crossed!

I was also able to talk with my pal Anton Kromoff and we have started moving the FAR SHORE SOCIETY forward again. What is FAR SHORE SOCIETY? Well, I can’t tell you just yet, but you’ll be among the first to know when it launches!

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSIONS...
The season finale of PEACEMAKER was amazing. There’s a scene in that episode that punches me right in the gut. I’ve been thinking about it ever since I watched it. All in all, though, I loved everything about the show. I can’t wait for season 2.
I played a bit of BETRAYAL AT THE HOUSE ON THE HILL just last night. It was a great time with friends, even though my character met a horrible, horrible fate.
